Turkey has so much to offer travelers. The ancient history across multiple Empires, fascinating culture, terrific cuisine, and beautiful landscapes delivers the perfect setting for an unforgettable adventure. Breathtaking views and charming experiences abound, in Istanbul, in the High Plateaus of Cappadocia and along the Mediterranean with coastal hiking trails, hidden beaches and one of the best yacht chartering destinations in the world.
Best Time to Travel
The best time to visit Turkey is from mid-April to late June, and from early September until late October.
These late spring/early summer and late summer/early fall months offer wonderful weather apt for enjoying the many activities that Turkey has to offer.
The summertime is a good time to travel to Turkey although temperatures can soar, making the coast and yacht chartering much more appealing.
Cappadocia
A beautiful high plateau region in the center of Turkey, Cappadocia is surrounded by dormant volcanoes, rift valleys, and stunning rock formations. There are many amazing things to do including breathtaking hot air balloon rides (perhaps the best place in the world for ballooning), exploring ancient cave churches and touring underground cities. Cappadocia has some terrific hiking as well, along river and rift valleys.
Cappadocia is the perfect place to get your first taste of Turkey as it provides a perfect introduction to the local culture and cuisine before jumping into the amazing metropolis that is Istanbul.
